There are perfume houses that impress me with technical perfection, expensive materials, or beautiful presentation.
Éveilleur caught me for a different reason.

I expected a small new brand to play it safe.
Éveilleur does not.
Its first collection already has personality, and after exploring I Am, dscvr me, and Not Innocent, I kept thinking about how different they are from one another.
A Croatian Perfume House With Something to Say
Croatia is an interesting place to build a perfume identity around.
There are old stone streets, bright coastal towns, Mediterranean heat, sea air, and a strong food culture. Éveilleur seems to understand that fragrance can carry those impressions without turning them into obvious postcards.
The name Éveilleur comes from French and means awakener.
I like that because these fragrances are not simply trying to smell pretty. They are built around emotion, memory, character, and discovery.
The perfumes come in extrait de parfum concentration, and the collection brings together perfumers Nathalie Lorson and Olivia Giacobetti.
The presentation is restrained, with matte bottles, magnetic caps, a dragonfly symbol, and small messages inside the packaging. Still, the scents are what made the brand stay in my head.
I Am Feels Like Quiet Confidence
Soft florals without becoming too pretty
I Am is the fragrance I would recommend first to someone who wants something elegant, feminine, and easy to wear.
The opening gives a flash of pink pepper and mandarin. It feels bright, but not sharp. There is enough freshness to wake up the composition before the florals begin to soften everything.
Then magnolia takes over.
This is where I Am becomes beautiful to me.
Magnolia can sometimes smell too polished or too clean, but here it feels creamy and smooth. Peony adds softness, while orange blossom gives the floral heart a slightly bitter edge that keeps it from becoming overly sweet.
The fragrance feels feminine, but it does not feel fragile.
Cedar, musk, and benzoin in the base give it warmth and a comfortable finish.
I picture I Am on someone who does not need a loud perfume to be noticed. It feels like clean clothes, soft light, and fresh flowers.
When I would wear it
For me, this is a daytime fragrance.
Spring would be perfect, but I can also see it working beautifully in summer or as a signature scent for someone who loves soft florals.
It does not shout.
That is part of its charm.

Green, salty, watery, and slightly strange
Then dscvr me changes the entire mood.
If I Am feels composed and graceful, dscvr me feels like stepping outside.
The combination of eucalyptus, immortelle, calone, mastic, jasmine, ambroxan, and oakmoss creates something airy, salty, green, and almost vegetal.
There is a watery quality, but I would not call it a typical aquatic perfume.
It does not smell like blue shower gel or a generic beach scent.
Instead, it reminds me of real coastal air. Salt, herbs, green plants, warm stone, and water somewhere close by.
At moments, I can understand why someone might think of cucumber, green pepper, or tomato leaf even though those are not official notes. There is a crisp green freshness that makes it feel alive.
Immortelle gives it a dry herbal character, while eucalyptus keeps everything open and bright.
The easiest summer choice of the three
If I were packing for a hot weather trip and could take only one Éveilleur perfume, dscvr me would probably be the one.
It feels refreshing without becoming boring, and it also feels genuinely unisex.
This is the fragrance that makes me think most directly about Croatia. Not because it smells like a literal location, but because it has that combination of warmth, greenery, stone, and sea that I associate with Mediterranean coastal cities.
Not Innocent Is the One I Would Keep Smelling
Dessert inspiration without sugar overload
Not Innocent is the fragrance that surprised me most.
The inspiration comes from a Croatian dessert similar to flan or crème brûlée, and the perfumer was given the dessert to taste before creating the scent.
That detail immediately made me curious.
Gourmand perfume can become predictable very quickly. Add vanilla, caramel, milk, and sugar, then make everything louder.
Not Innocent takes a softer route.
Almond, milk, caramel, rose, ambroxan, oakmoss, and musk create a creamy sweetness, but the fragrance never feels like pure candy.
The almond is gentle. The milk feels smooth. Then a lightly caramelized effect appears, almost like the browned top of a dessert.
That contrast is what makes the perfume interesting.
There is also rose, but it stays in the background. To me, it feels more like rose petals folded into cream than a full floral perfume.
Sweet, comforting, and slightly mischievous
The name Not Innocent fits.
This fragrance is soft and pretty at first, but there is something playful underneath it.
It is not a dramatic seduction perfume. It is more like someone smiling because they know something you do not.
I could wear this during cooler evenings, relaxed dinners, or dates. For people tired of extremely sweet gourmands, this might be the most interesting fragrance in the collection.
Three Perfumes That Actually Feel Different
What I appreciate most about Éveilleur is that the first collection does not feel repetitive.
I Am gives me softness and confidence.
dscvr me gives me movement, air, and the sea.
Not Innocent gives me comfort, pleasure, and a little mischief.
Many new brands launch several fragrances that somehow feel like variations of the same idea. Éveilleur already feels broader than that.
Each perfume has its own identity, while the collection still feels connected by emotion and personality.
Why Éveilleur Stayed With Me
I am always more interested in a new perfume house when I can understand why it exists.
Éveilleur does not feel like a brand created simply because niche fragrance is popular.
There is a sense of place here. Croatian culture, coastal atmosphere, dessert, femininity, curiosity, and the idea of awakening something personal through scent.
If I wanted the easiest everyday perfume, I would choose I Am.
If I wanted freshness and summer energy, I would choose dscvr me.
If I wanted the one that feels most playful and memorable, I would choose Not Innocent.
But what makes the collection exciting is that I would happily wear all three.
Éveilleur is still at the beginning, and maybe that is what I like most.
The brand already knows how to create three different moods without losing its identity.
