Shanthi Sasva: Tropical Serenity by the Goan Sea

When developing Shanthi, the peaceful side of Goa served as the primary muse. Inspired by sun-drenched beaches, swaying palm trees and the refreshing coastal atmosphere, the fragrance explores a quieter contrast to Goa’s vibrant energy. Sasva presents it as an olfactory escape into tranquil solitude, where tropical fruit, green freshness and the sea breeze come together to evoke the natural beauty of a relaxing Goan getaway.

The brand describes Shanthi as a composition built around refreshing fruity notes, invigorating green accents and hints of coastal air. The fragrance is intended to convey peace and tranquillity, moving from crisp aromatic spices into a lush tropical heart before settling into deeper woody and resinous nuances.

 

Olfactory Notes

Upon the first spray, cooling Mint creates an invigorating freshness alongside aromatic Cardamom and the lively spice of Pink Pepper. Together, these notes produce a bright, green and gently spicy opening that introduces the fragrance with an immediate sense of freshness.

As it develops, the fragrance moves into a lush tropical heart dominated by Mango and Pineapple. Their juicy sweetness is surrounded by a Marine Accord, introducing an airy, salty freshness that recalls sea breeze passing over tropical fruit on a warm beach.

Finally, Shanthi settles into a warmer and more grounded base. Patchouli and resinous Labdanum add depth beneath the fruit, while Amberwood provides a smooth woody-amber foundation. The transition gives the fragrance more substance without losing the tropical and refreshing personality established in its opening.

My favorite Almond Perfume!

I am not a huge fan of almond-centered fragrances. BUT - I have tried quite a few over the years and I am always on the hunt for one that I will actually enjoy...And I found that in Zuccarata by Narcisse Taormina! This is my favorite almond perfume because it smells like the best almond cookies or cakes you can imagine! Almondy but slightly sweet, doughy with a touch of cinnamon - It is delicious!

VinoRosso Di Sicilia by Narcisso Taormina is a fragrance that is very unique! Somewhere between Grape Bubblelicious Bubble-Gum and Red Sangria...This fragrance is perfect for Spring and Summer! It is fun, fruity and has a good sillage and projection. If you would enjoy smelling like sexy, grape bubble-gum - I highly recommend this one!
